You know, this account may have used the exploding head emoji, but that is not the feeling that we’re experiencing when looking at these pictures. Yes, we didn’t realize just how big wolves actually are, but knowing that they are so much bigger than doggos… just makes us want to pet them more.

S Mr Commonsense @fopminui Yuki was a wolfdog who gained fame during the final season of HBO's "Game of Thrones" in 2019. He was taken to a kill shelter by his owner after he got too big to handle.
Shy Wolf Sanctuary Education and Experience Center in Collier County, Florida rescued him and took care of him until he passed away from blood cancer at the age of 13. Yuki was diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma, a blood cancer, three years ago. He was 87.5% gray wolf, 8.6% Siberian husky, and 3.9% German shepherd.
Yuki was twice as heavy and twice as big as an ordinary wolfdog, weighing about 120 pounds and standing at 5.4 feet tall.
Beyond his physical attributes, Yuki's gentle and affectionate nature endeared him to volunteers, visitors, and the wider public. His story brought attention to the challenges of responsible wolfdog ownership and the importance of supporting wolfdog sanctuaries like Shy Wolf.

Yuki's legacy extends beyond his life, as he continues to serve as an ambassador for wolf conservation, educating the public about these wild animals and promoting understanding and appreciation for their place in the ecosystem.
