After going through the midpoint of the 2023-24 Regular Season, the NBA, in conjunction with the NBAStore retail channel and the NBPA players’ association, has just announced the top-10 best-selling jerseys in the first half of the season.
The name at the top of the list, which does not come as a surprise, is Stephen Curry, who brings in the highest shirt sales through the tournament’s official retail channels. However, in the rest of the top-10 there have been many notable changes.
Different from the trend in recent years when LeBron James and Curry shared the top two spots, the first half of this season had a “third person” intervening in the middle, Jayson Tatum. The Boston Celtics star climbed to second place. 2 and pushed “the king” down to third place.
French rookie Victor Wembanyama suddenly ranked fourth on the list, proving that he has great appeal even though he has only been in the NBA for less than a year.
Behind Wemby are stars familiar to fans such as Giannis Antetokounmpo, Luka Doncic or the Phoenix Suns duo – Devin Booker and Kevin Durant.
9th place is another surprise when Tyrese Maxey appears. The Philadelphia 76ers defender even sells shirts better than teammate and MVP Joel Embiid (12th place).
Completing the top-15 are players including Damian Lillard, Ja Morant, Embiid, LaMelo Ball, Nikola Jokic and De’Aaron Fox.
In addition to the list of best-selling jerseys, the NBA also announced the top 10 teams with the highest sales of NBA souvenirs.
At the top is the Los Angeles Lakers with three key players: LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Austin Reaves. The traditionally rich team Boston Celtics ranked second, right behind the Golden State Warriors and Milwaukee Bucks.
The remaining names in the top-10 are Philadelphia 76ers, Chicago Bulls, Phoenix Suns, New York Knicks, San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Mavericks, respectively.
There are no notable surprises on this list except San Antonio Spurs, the team that entered the top 10 mainly thanks to the great attraction of “French unicorn” Victor Wembanyama.
