Coach Luis Enrique affirmed that he would not take revenge on Mbappe
After announcing he would leave Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) at the end of this season, French striker Mbappe was continuously replaced midway through past matches by coach Luis Enrique. The most recent match was PSG’s 0-0 draw with Monaco on March 2 in Ligue 1. Mbappe only played the first half and was replaced by Kolo Muani.
Feeling dissatisfied with that, Mbappe proposed a direct meeting with coach Luis Enrique to resolve the matter.
But according to the Spanish coach’s explanation, he felt that Mbappe had not fully recovered from his injury, so he only let him play a little. But he did not take “personal revenge” after Mbappe insisted on leaving.
Up to this point, Mbappe has scored 32 goals in 33 appearances for PSG this season, including 21 goals in Ligue 1.
