NBA unveils the roster of contenders nominated for individual accolades for the 2023-24 season!

The NBA has announced the finalists for this season’s individual achievement awards.

The NBA 2023-2024 season is gradually coming to an end. Recently, the NBA organizers announced the finalists for each of the seven awards for the best performing players of the 2023-24 season. The seven individual awards include being NBA Most Valuable Player of the Year, NBA Defensive Player of the Year, NBA Most Improved Player, NBA Most Valuable Player, NBA Rookie of the Year, Reserve Player of the Year. NBA Coach of the Year and NBA Coach of the Year.

As expected, the top three players in the MVP race are Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder and Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets. Luka Doncic is averaging 33.9 points (49% FG rebounds and 9.8 assists) for the Mavs, while Gilgeous-Alexander is averaging 30.1 points (54% FG), 5.5 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game for the Oklahoma City Thunder. MVP time, averaging 26.4 points (58% FG), 12.4 rebounds and 9.0 assists during the regular season.

– MVP : Luka Doncic (Dallas Mavericks), Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Oklahoma City Thunder), Nikola Jokic (Denver Nuggets)

– Defensive Player of the Year: Bam Adebayo (Miami Heat), Rudy Gobert (HoMinnesota Timberwolves), Victor Wembanyama (San Antonio Spurs)

– Most improved player : Tyrese Maxey (Philadelphia 76ers), Alperen Sengun (Huston Rockkets), Coby White (Chicago Bulls)

– Rookie of the Year : Chet Holmgren (Oklahoma City Thunder), Brandon Miller (Charlotte Hornets), Victor Wembanyama (San Antonio Spurs)

– Substitute Player of the Year: Malik Monk (Sacramento Kings), Bobby Portis (Milwaukee Bucks), Naz Reid (Minnesota Timberwolves)

– Most effective players in clutch situations : Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors), DeMar DeRozan (Chicago Bulls), Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Oklahoma City Thunder)

– Coach of the Year: Mark Daigneault (Oklahoma City Thunder), Chris Finch (Minnesota Timberwolves), Jamahl Mosley (Orlando Magic)

The winner for each award will be revealed during coverage of the NBA Playoffs.
