Last summer, superstar Lionel Messi left PSG after his contract expired and moved to play for Inter Miami. This season, the absence of Messi has somewhat affected PSG’s offensive ability. In a rare time sharing about the absence of Messi, striker Kylian Mbappe also admitted this difficulty.
“I remember the time when I played next to Messi. I am a striker who likes to run and am completely confident when playing alongside Messi because you will receive the ball from him. There are things that almost only Messi can do. for you. It’s special when you get to play next to Messi”, Mbappe shared.

After Messi and Neymar left last summer, PSG brought in many new names in attack such as Kolo Muani, Marca Asensio or Ousmane Dembele. Although these players have not yet created peace of mind in attack, Mbappe believes that the whole team will become smoother in the future.
“We have new players, a new coach and a new philosophy. The whole team has gradually caught up with what the coach asks, what he wants. We are gradually getting into a better rhythm,” Mbappe added.
2024 is off to a good start for Mbappe and his teammates. In the French Super Cup final on January 4, Mbappe contributed a goal in PSG’s 2-0 victory over Toulouse.
The competition ended, Mbappe received questions about his future in the context of only half a year left on his contract with PSG. However, the 25-year-old striker said he has not yet made a final decision. Some sources believe that Mbappe could move to play for Real this summer.
