BelAZ is the abbreviation for the Belarusian Automobile Factory, established in 1948. BelAZ specializes in the production of specialized trucks, railway freight cars and heavy equipment in general.

Belaz has equipped the world’s largest super heavy truck 75710 with two Siemens MTU DD 16V4000 diesel engines. Each diesel engine has a capacity of 65L, 16 cylinders, can produce 2,332 horsepower and 9,313 Nm at 1,500 rpm.

Two diesel engine blocks run generators with electric energy providing power for 4 electric motors. Each electric motor produces 1,632 horsepower, for a total capacity of 6,528 horsepower.

The total pulling power of the truck is 18,626 Nm, about 24 times more than the engine of a 2014 F1 car. If a car has high capacity, it means that the car has to consume a lot of fuel. Belaz 75710 is no exception, it is a genuine fuel-guzzling monster with an oil consumption of 1,300L/100km.
