WHAT HAPPENED?
Arsenal received a painful blow in the Premier League title race when they lost 0-2 to Aston Villa at Emirates home field. This defeat caused Arsenal to drop to second place, 2 points behind leader Manchester City.
PANORAMA
Journalist and presenter Piers Morgan, a die-hard Arsenal fan, wrote on Twitter in response to a fan’s question. He believes that Cristiano Ronaldo can score “25 goals or more per season” if coach Mikel Arteta brings him to London. He also pointed out that the Gunners’ failure to buy a goalscoring striker this season has cost them.
WHAT JOURNALIST PIERS MORGAN SAID
Initially, Morgan posted on Twitter (X) lamenting Arsenal’s stumble once again in the title race. One fan sarcastically said: “Call your Ronaldo to help!”
Quoting that Twitter post, Morgan replied: “I think @Cristiano would score more than 25 goals per season for Arsenal if he was given the opportunity. Arteta not prioritizing bringing in a top striker is wrong his biggest mistake.”
